William C. Brigam

BRIGAM, WILLIAM C. (1843~1910)William Brigam was born on May 9, 1843. During the Civil War he served in Company I, 21st Arkansas Infantry. William Brigam was a Sergeant and a drummer for the 21st Infantry. The 21st was formed after the Battle of Shiloh. The 17th Regiment combined with the 14th to form the 21st after both suffered tremendous loss of life after Shiloh. Mr. Brigam was wounded at the Battle of Corinth on October 3, 1862.

He was a mechanic who lived in Dallas County. He suffered from paralysis, and died April 25, 1910.
