Warren Glenn Harding

HARDING, WARREN GLENN (1921~2005) Warren Glenn Harding, State and Dallas County Treasurer, was born January 8, 1921, in Princeton, Texas, to William Moore and Ethel (Baccus) Harding. Mr. Harding most recently served as the State Treasurer of Texas from 1977-1983, after serving as the County Treasurer for Dallas County from 1950-1977. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II, Commander of American Legion Post #581 - Dallas, President of County Treasurers Association of Texas, President of National Association of County Treasurers and Finance Officers, recipient of Outstanding Treasurer Award of United States and Texas, Board member of National Association of 1,124 counties, Thirty-third degree Scottish Rite Mason and Ambassador of Hella Temple Shrine - Dallas.

Harding passed away April 2, 2005, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 84, and was buried at the Texas State Cemetery four days later.
