DIAL, VIRGINIA MARY JORDAN (1947-1994) ~ Virginia Ginny Mary Jordan Dial was born October 31, 1947, in Buffalo, New York to Charles and Mary Jordan.
Ginny, a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas, Texas and Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, attended the U.S. Air Force Officers Training School at Lackland Air Force Base. While there, Ginny was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease and medically discharged. She subsequently received her JD Degree from St. Marys University of San Antonio. She practiced law more than twenty years in San Antonio and Seguin, and was Director of the Legal Assistants Program at San Antonio College. Ginny served as a president of the Camp Fire Girls and President Elect of the San Antonio Bar Association Auxillary.
Ginny was an enthusiastic hunter, gourmet cook, and a gracious host. She particularly enjoyed presiding over her annual wild game dinner on Super Bowl Sunday.
Ginny passed away on October 27, 1994, in San Antonio and her ashes were distributed on a pasture in the family ranch and in the Guadelupe River. Symbolically, her ashes were re-located to the Texas State Cemetery on October 30, 2005.
