MURPHY, THEDA MCSPADDEN (1923~1988) Theda McSpadden Murphy, wife of State Representative, Charles A. Murphy, was born on January 28, 1923, in Lamesa, Texas. She worked for the State of Texas 10 years and retired from the Comptroller of Public Accounts as Director of Secretarial Services. She was also a Real Estate Broker.

Mrs. Murphy passed away on October 8, 1988, and was buried in the Texas State Cemetery three days later.
