TOWNSEND, SYLVIA BETH NIXON (1936-1980) Sylvia Beth Nixon Townsend, wife of State Representative, James Townsend, was born May 29, 1936, to E. H. and Hazel Pare Nixon in Luling, Texas. Her husband, James , was a member of the Texas House of Representatives.

Mrs.Townsend died May 8, 1980, in San Antonio, Texas and was buried in the Texas State Cemetery on May 12, 1980. She was survived by her husband and two children, Craig and Terri Townsend Martin.
