Robert Barker

BARKER, ROBERT (1873~1945) Robert "Bob" Barker was born on September 8, 1873, in Millican, Brazos County, Texas to William Wallace "Bud" Barker, of Kentucky, and Missouri Jack Swain, of Georgia.

Barker worked for the Texas Senate for twenty five years. For nine sessions he had been secretary of the Senate. After his death on January 31, 1945, his funeral was held in the Senate Chamber of the State Capitol. That same day, February 2, 1945, Barker was buried in the Texas State Cemetery.
