JENKINS, ROBERT ASHELY (1932~1993) Robert Ashley "Bob" Jenkins was born October 30, 1932, in Anderson, South Carolina. Jenkins received a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and a Masters Degree from Texas A&M University. He was a Korean era U. S. Navy Veteran, member of St. Helen's Catholic Church, Georgetown, was charter member and Financial Secretary of the Knights of Columbus Council 6453. He was a former Georgetwon I. S. D. Trustee, member of the Evening Lion's Club and was active in numerous other school and civic organizations. He served the General Services Commission as Building and Property Services Director until his retirement in 1991. Jenkins passed away on July 16, 1993, and was buried in the Texas State Cemetery three days later. Information taken from obituary, Austin American-Statesman, July 18, 1993, and funeral program.
