Nora Prudence Black Adams

ADAMS, NORA PRUDENCE BLACK (1858~1939) Nora Prudence Black was born on January 16, 1858, in Denton County, Texas to Reuben E. Black, of North Carolina, and Elizabeth Ann Goodson, of South Carolina.


On April 10, 1884, Miss Black married Confederate veteran Francis Andrew Adams. Together they had three children: Sidney Stevens, Mack Black, and Forrest Lenly.


On October 19, 1932, Mrs. Adams entered the Confederate Women's Home from Abilene, where she was living with her son, Forrest. She died on January 22, 1939. She was buried in the State Cemetery the next day.
