GRICE, MARGARET LUCINDY (1845 ~ 1934). Margaret Lucindy Grice was born on October 3, 1845 in Cedar Bayou, Texas to David Smith of Tennessee and Lucindy Estes of Tennessee. She married Marcus Jefferson Grice in October of 1861 in Harris County. He served in Co. H, 26th Texas Cav., Debray's Reg. He died on January 16, 1877 in Kaufman County, Texas. She then married a second husband who died in 1916, though his name is not known. She died on February 25, 1934, at 88 years of age after living at the Confederate Woman's Home in Austin for a time. She was buried at the Texas State Cemetery shortly after her death.
