WOOD, JOHN (1787~1845) John Wood was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 1787 and later married Miss Eliza Baba Hunt. During the War of 1812, Wood served as a Lieutenant Colonel in Clairborne's Regiment of the Mississippi Militia. Mr. Wood was also a Veteran of the Texas Revolution and died in Austin, Travis County, Texas in 1845. The Augustus Jones Chapter, U. S.
