FULCHER, GEORGE GORDAN (1909~1973) George Gordan Fulcher was a graduate of the University of Texas. He started his newspaper career in 1927 with the Wichita Falls Record-News. In 1928, hed joined the American-Statesman and later becam Editor-in-Chief. In 1972, he joined the Texas Star. He was appointed to the Water Quality Board by Governor John Connally in 1968, and became Chariman a year later. He died on June 24, 1973 at his home."
