Frank Scott McCown

MCCOWN, FRANK SCOTT. Frank Scott McCown, judge, Assistant Attorney General, and law professor received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas Christian University.

He graduated cum laude in 1976. In 1979, McCown received his J. D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also graduated with honors. Three years out of law school, McCown was hired as an Assistant Professor by his alma mater.

He taught there for two years until Jim Mattox appointed him Assistant Attorney General. He held that position until 1988, when he ran for and won a seat as Judge of the 345th District Court of Texas. Judge McCown still holds that position today.
