AXLEY, ELIZABETH HUNT (1841-1930) Elizabeth Hunt Axley was born to William Hunt and Elizabeth Williams of Indiana. She was born in Arkansas in 1841. On December 20, 1860 Elizabeth Hunt married John Axley and moved to Williamson County together.

Axley served in the Confederate Army under the Texas Rangers. John died February 1904 and afterwards Elisabeth applied for Widow's Pension. Later on she moved into the Confederate Women's Home. On January 6, 1930 she died of Tuberculosis and buried the next day at the Texas State Cemetery.
