Edward Allen Minor

MINOR, EDWARD ALLEN (1911 ~ 1993). Edward Minor was born in Paris, Texas. In 1930, he was a pharmacy student at the University of Texas at Austin. On December 22, 1936, he married Bertha Quebe.

In 1951, Minor opened his own pharmacy at 1910 Guadalupe. In 1952, he moved Ed Minor Pharmacy to 718 Brazos in the Perry-Brooks building where he stayed until his retirement in 1973.

During those years he rose to the height of his profession, being appointed to the Texas Board of Pharmacy in 1962 by Governor Preston Smith. Minor's accomplishments while on the Board ensured the integrity of the profession by improving the standards of the State Board testing and licensing procedures.

After his retirement he continued to serve his profession as an Inspector enforcing the laws governing the practice of pharmacy.

Minor died on May 26, 1993 and was buried in the Texas State Cemetery for his faithful service to the State of Texas.
