Charles T. Hoy

HOY, CHARLES T. (1839~1900) Charles T. Hoy was born January 1, 1839 in Fayette County, Tennessee. He enlisted in the 2nd Arkansas Cavalry Regiment on May 15, 1862 at Corinth, Mississippi. Mr. Hoy had two brothers who also enlisted in the Confederate States Army. George W. Hoy was killed during the Civil War and James M. Hoy was a Prisoner of War and was held at Alton, Illinois, where he died of smallpox in 1863.

Charles T. Hoy came to Texas and died on November 25, 1900 and was buried at the Texas State Cemetery.
