HINES, ALICE HARRIS (1862~1954) Alice Harris Hines was born on October 1, 1862 in Brownwood, Texas. She was born to T. D. Harris of North Carolina and Margaret Smith Harris of Mississippi. Alice married Rev. Thomas J. Hines in 1903. Thomas Hines entered the service from Texas in Company E, 8th Bat. Regiment, in General Taylor's Texas Cavalry which subsequently became Company 1st Regiment & Yager's Texas Cavalry, C.S.A. Alice died on November 19, 1954 at the age of 92 years, 1 month, and 18 days.
