Agnes Jeanne McLean Morris

MORRIS, AGNES JEANNE MCLEAN (1922 ~ 1996). Jeanne McLean Morris was born Agnes Jeanne McLean in Gorman, Texas, on June 30, 1922. She was born to Salem A. McLean and Lucille Kirschvink. She later married James Walter Morris on April 7, 1947.  The couple had three children, James, John, and Joe. 

Jeanne Morris began her career in public service working for Governor Coke Stevenson.  Later, she worked for two "Deans of the Texas Senate," Senator Grady Hazelwood of Canyon and Amarillo and Senator A. M. Aiken of Paris.  Ms. Morris was extremely proud of her career working at the Texas Capitol for more than 30 years.  She was dedicated to her position and the people of Texas.

Jeanne Morris died on February 11, 1996, and was buried at the Texas State Cemetery.
